ANNUAL RECOGNITION NOMINATIONS

  NOMINATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE UNDER THE 'FORMS' TAB FOR AWARDS (c) - (g)

 

.  RMHA will provide awards at the end of each hockey season, at which time, the following

       trophies/awards may be presented:

         (a)  Individual medallions and ESSO Certificates, Tykes to Novice (all players receive)

         (b)  ESSO Certificates and Medallions, Atom to Midget

Most Dedicated, Most Sportmanlike, and Most Improved.

The coach co-ordinator, coaches and parents on each team shall decide how award winners will be selected

         (c)  RMHA Coach-of-the-Year Award / (d)   Longtime Coach Award

This award is presented to a Coach in recognition for his/her time and energy in the unconditional commitment to helping your child develop hockey and social skills. 

  • Demonstrates a positive impact and concern in the all-around development towards all players
  • Shows respect for officials, opponents, parents, players and maintains a philosophy of fair play
  • Demonstrates his/her knowledge in the game of hockey
  • Demonstrates a  positive competitive spirit, but recognizes the importance of success and development while maintaining the respect of the players
  • Demonstrates guidance as to responsible conduct in and beyond the athletic arena
  • Presents a positive public image of coaching and the role of a coach
  • Shows the ability to improve the skills and performance of his/her team
  • Is certified and recognized by Hockey Alberta in the requirements for his/her role
  • Co-operates with the executive, is knowledgeable of and abides by the policies of RMHA and League

         (e)  RMHA Manager -of-the-Year Award

This award is presented to a Manager in recognition for his/her time and commitment to an individual team during the current hockey season.

  • A Team Manager who has shown dedication to their team through exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • The individual has a positive impact on their team, effective communication and promotes respect for players, coaches, officials, opponents, parents and league.
  • This person represents a positive public image for the association.
  • Co-operates with the executive and abides by the policies of RMHA and League

         (f)  RMHA Volunteer-of-the-Year Award

This award is presented to a dedicated volunteer within RMHA. Volunteers are an integral part of the Association. This award recognizes the importance and impressive impact of volunteers.

  • The individual volunteers their time in various capacities throughout the season to assist in any capacity   
  • Demonstrates a willingness and commitment to help
  • Donates time unselfishly for the good of all association membership
  • This person represents a positive public image for the association.
  • Co-operates with the executive and abides by the policies of RMHA and League

         (g)  Longtime Volunteer Award

This award is presented to an individual whose,  love of the game , is demonstrated through the years of dedication and commitment to the association and its members.  

An individual who has contributed far and beyond the anticipated levels of time, devotion and loyalty to the development of RMHA.

 

         (h)  Any other RMHA awards that the executive approves
